WORD RESURRECTS HANEGRAAFF Questionable Book Deal On Again...Sort of By Gunther Sardasian OTE Staff Reporter Dallas _base_d Word Publishing has once again placed Hank HanegraaffÕs shaky book deal on the stove if not on the front burner, according to Word. HanegraaffÕs book, The Counterfeit Revival, once allegedly scrapped by the publishing giant, is now slated for an October, 1996 release, more than a year after its original debut date. As reported in the February issue of OTE Word jettisoned the project, But in an alleged letter sent via the Internet, Word Associate Publisher, Joey Paul, rails against that. ÒI have never seen a more blatant collection of half truths, distorted facts, and outright lies, beginning with their completely untrue headline, CRI PREZ JETTISONED BY WORD,Ó Paul supposedly said in the letter. ÒNothing, of course, is further from the truth.Ó WORD COVER-UP??? But thatÕs not what Word said last month. WordÕs own public relations department told an independent investigative reporter otherwise. ÒWhen I noticed that HanegraaffÕs self-promoted book wasnÕt in WordÕs recent catalog, I called them about it,Ó says the reporter.
